Membership guarantees that we buy as much as possible from local producers and is a great way to support the local economy while being as green as possible! We buy from Savour Ottawa producers such as Rochon Farms, Bekings Eggs and Lyons Family Turkey Farm.
Summer is Here- Local Delicacies on the Menu
Chilled fresh gazpacho soup has arrived in time for the summer! We often run out so come early for this cool and refreshing bowl of summertime flavours.. For the rest of our July menu, featuring green beans, tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, blueberries, raspberries and more, click here. And on Saturdays, in addition to some of our weekday choices, we also feature new brunch items such as our very own take on egg (mc) muffins. We take a fresh, free-roam local egg, sprinkle in a bit of sea salt and pepper, cook it until perfect, sandwich it between a lightly-toasted whole wheat English muffin with a slice of organic cheddar and juicy tomato. We also serve a whole wheat croissant-wich with melted organic Cheddar and a V.B.L.T (Veggie Bacon Lettuce & Tomato). Come see us on a Saturday for this and other wholesome fare.
Our Edible Patio Now Open!
Check out our daily menu and come give our patio a try. We've got an oasis in the city for you to enjoy with edible hanging baskets, herb-filled flower boxes, grape vines and more. Summer hours OPEN TUESDAY - FRIDAY, 11:00am to 3:00pm, and SATURDAYS OPEN 10:00am to 2:00pm. We are at 78 Hinton Avenue North, corner of Armstrong, just two blocks from Tunney's Pasture. Drop in to have lunch, or take it back to the office. We will gladly fill your own containers or plates or we offer fully compostable, corn-based take-out containers. More...
*Funky New Green Products Now Available
We are now offering our customers two new eco- products that will make being green easier and funkier. The Mug Hug is a silicone lid designed to fit most paper take-out cups and some ceramic ones as well. It comes to us from Toronto and you can find out more here. We sell these lids in brown and white for $5.99.
The second awesome product is a versatile produce bag in two sizes. We all use our re-usable grocery bagsor bins but often end up using tons of small plastic bags for fruit, vegetables, herbs and other produce. Now you can carry a few small and convenient Carebags to handle even large quantities. These bags are made in Canada and can hold 6 to 10 lbs of produce but have lots of other uses as well. We now sell them in the cafe for $1.99 each or a pouch with three bags for only $6.99.

Credible Edibles offers a delightful selection of L'Oven cupcakes that are not only gorgeous but also delicious and nutritious. In June we have Green with Envy (matcha green tea) cupcakes as well as gluten-free cupcakes. We also sell top of the line locally created teas from Take Charge Teas. We sell a variety of these lovely, aromatic teas, including chocolate orange, ginger, fennel green tea and nettle, mint and stevia. Have a cup and take some home for the family.
